Backups and disaster-recovery systems may retain information for a reasonable period before scheduled overwriting or deletion. Anonymised or de-identified information may continue to be used for lawful statistical, analytical, research, academic or business purposes.
16. Children and Minor Users
Where a service is intended to be accessed by or involves individuals who are children under applicable law, MADE EASY will apply safeguards and consent/authorisation mechanisms required by applicable law. Completion, withdrawal, expiry or discontinuation of a course or service does not, by itself, require MADE EASY to immediately delete lawfully retained academic achievement records. MADE EASY will take reasonable steps to avoid knowingly publishing inaccurate or misleading achievement information.
18. Marketing and Service Communications
MADE EASY may send service-related communications necessary for admissions, enrolment, payments, examinations, results, academic support, security, account administration, course delivery and other requested services. Where applicable, users may opt out of non-essential promotional communications through the available unsubscribe, preference or contact mechanism. Opting out of promotional communications does not necessarily stop essential service or transactional communications.
19. Data Principal Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law and any conditions or limitations prescribed by law, individuals may have rights relating to their Personal Data, including rights to obtain information about processing, request correction or updating of inaccurate information, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, request erasure where applicable, and exercise other rights available under applicable law. Requests may be made through the Data Protection/Grievance Contact identified in this Policy. MADE EASY may require reasonable information to verify the identity of the requester and may apply lawful exceptions or limitations.
20. Consent and Withdrawal
Where processing is based on consent, consent may be collected through appropriate digital, written or other mechanisms. Where legally permitted, a person may withdraw consent through the mechanism made available by MADE EASY or by contacting the relevant support or grievance channel. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing already carried out lawfully before withdrawal and may not require MADE EASY to stop processing where another lawful basis or legal requirement permits or requires continued processing.
21. Data Breach and Security Incidents
MADE EASY maintains processes intended to identify, assess, manage and respond to Personal Data security incidents. Where an incident occurs, MADE EASY may take steps to contain and investigate it, mitigate potential harm, preserve evidence, implement corrective measures and provide notifications to affected persons and/or authorities where required by applicable law.
22. Third-Party Websites, Applications and Services
Our platforms may contain links, integrations or references to third-party websites, applications, payment services, social-media platforms or other services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies and terms. MADE EASY is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third parties and encourages users to review the applicable privacy notices before providing Personal Data.
23. International or Cross-Border Processing
Certain service providers or technology infrastructure used by MADE EASY may process or store information in locations outside the user’s state or country. Any such processing will be undertaken subject to applicable law and relevant contractual, technical and organisational safeguards.
