Indian Railway Management Service-IRMS 2025

Ministry of Railways has decided to recruit railway officers for the Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) through both CSE and ESE conducted by the UPSC. In this regard, the DoPT (Department of Personnel & Training) has approved the recruitment for IRMS (Technical) through ESE and IRMS (Non-Technical) through CSE from the 2025 exam year onwards. As per the latest press release, 225 vacancies are to be filled in the IRMS through ESE 2025.

A total of 225 IRMS vacancies in various engineering disciplines have been added to the existing ESE 2025 notification. The commission has extended the application deadline for ESE 2025. All interested and eligible candidates for IRMS (Technical) can apply for the ESE 2025 until 22nd November 2024.

As per the latest addendum released by the UPSC, the online applications for ESE 2025 can be filled from 18.10.2024 to 22.11.2024 (till 6 PM).

IRMS 2025 Eligibility:

The eligibility criteria for the IRMS will same as notified in the ESE 2025 Rules.

IRMS 2025 Exam Pattern:

The exam pattern for IRMS will be the same as ESE.

  • Stage I: Preliminary Examination
  • Stage II: Main Examination
  • Stage III: Personal Interview
