GATE examination consists of 65 questions of 100 marks. The paper is divided into 3 sections such as general aptitude, engineering mathematics and technical subjects. General aptitude is of 15 marks, engineering mathematics is of 13 marks and technical subject is of 72 marks. There are 1-mark questions and 2 marks questions under the GATE exam 2027. The negative marking is applicable only for the MCQ based questions.
