How does RRB JE Post Preference Work?

You can apply to only one RRB and that choice is final. Within that RRB, you can rank the posts and zones of your qualification. Final selection depends on the CBT 2 merit, because CBT 1 is qualifying only. Candidates are shortlisted for CBT 2 at a ratio of 15:1 based on category-wise vacancy. Allotment then follows merit, reservation, your options, medical fitness and vacancy position. Rank only the posts you can do. Moreover, you must be medically fit for the selected post.
