NCRTC Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria for Engineering Posts
The maximum age limit for all engineering posts is 28 years as on 10 September 2026. The age relaxation applies as per the government norms and it is applicable to SC/ST, OBC (NCL), PwBD and Ex-servicemen candidates. Only Indian Nationals above 18 years of age can apply.

Candidates holding BE/BTech/BSc (Engg) in relevant discipline are also eligible in place of a diploma. Only full-time, UGC/AICTE recognised qualifications are accepted and all eligibility conditions must be met on the cut off date of 10 September 2026.
NCRTC Exam Date and CBT Exam Pattern

NCRTC Salary Structure and Pay Scale
The NCRTC pay scale for Supervisor-I posts (engineering) is INR 37,000- 1,15,000 at Level S1, with an initial basic pay of INR 37,000. Besides basic pay, selected candidates get Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) and other perks under the Cafeteria Approach, making the overall NCRTC salary structure fairly competitive for engineering graduates and diploma holders.
Direct-recruitment supervisors undergo a two-year probation and must execute a surety bond of INR 4,00,000 to serve NCRTC for a minimum of three years. Contract-basis supervisors are appointed for five-year contract terms, also with a INR 4,00,000 surety bond for three years, but these posts do not confer any right to regularisation.
