Correction for Elevation<\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>As the elevation increases, the air density reduces. Thus, lift on the wings of the aircraft reduces and the aircraft requires greater ground speed. Correction for Temperatur emperature<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Airport reference temperature (ART) is calculated using<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1731 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/study.madeeasy.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/art-ta-formula.jpg\" alt=\"Correction for Temperatur emperature\" width=\"216\" height=\"98\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">where,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">T<sub>a<\/sub> = monthly mean of average daily temperature for the hottest month of the year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">T<sub>m<\/sub> = monthly mean of maximum daily temperature for same month of the year.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Rise in airport reference temperature has the same effect as the rise in elevation.<\/li>\n<li>According to ICAO, BRL (after have been corrected for elevation) should be further increased by 1% for 1\u00b0C rise in airport reference temperature above the standard atmosphere temperature at that elevation.<\/li>\n<li>Temperature gradient for standard atmosphere temperature at elevation from Mean Sea Level (MSL) to the altitude where temperature is \u201315.6\u00b0C is (\u2013) 0.0065\u00b0C per meter.<\/li>\n<li>Temperature gradient become zero above the altitude where temperature is \u201315.6\u00b0C.<\/li>\n<li>Standard atmospheric temperature at mean sea level is taken as 15\u00b0C.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"C-Check-for-total-cor-Check-for-total-correction-for-Elevation-plus-Temperatur-emperature\"><\/span>C.
