Hogged rails are entirely replaced.<\/li>\n<li>Deflected ends are brought to level by welding<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Buckling-of-Rails\"><\/span>Buckling of Rails<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>It means track has gone out of its original alignment.<\/li>\n<li>It happens when expansion of rails due to temperature variations is prevented due to insufficient gap at joint so the rails do not get enough space for expansion. This results in widening of the gauges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Remedial-Measures-2\"><\/span>Remedial Measures<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Ballast, sleeper and rail sections must be checked for design.<\/li>\n<li>Providing steel sleeper<\/li>\n<li>Provision of expansion gap<\/li>\n<li>Not very strong tightening of fish bolts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Kinking-in-Rails\"><\/span>Kinking in Rails<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Due to loose packing of ballast and loose joint, the misalignment of the rail can take place at the joint known as kinking of rail.
